Ordinary Japan
Ordinary Japan
Ordinary Japan is the first of a series of zines exploring the ordinary beauty of some of my favourite countries.
Japan is a country I adore, and so was the natural place for me to start. The aesthetics lead to beauty being found everywhere, not just in the obvious places like the shrines and temples. Ordinary Japan offers my take on that beauty; hopefully you’ll see what I see if you’re kind enough to purchase a copy.
Made in an edition of 100 (not signed), there are 36 A5 pages printed on 130gsm silk paper, plus the cover (250gsm natural paper). Ordinary Japan was printed excellently by Mixam, a great place for affordable printing and highly recommended (I received very good, quick service). All images made by me, on film.
If you order I hope you will enjoy my small ordinary zine; if you have a zine you think I might like then perhaps we can do a swap…contact me and let’s work something out.
Orders will be shipped ASAP; occasionally I might be away, which could lead to a small delay (I will let you know if that is the case). The zine will come in a biodegradable film bag…likely that is not archival (if you care about that sort of thing), but hopefully it is a little friendlier to the planet. Oh…and if you’re in Norwich, UK - contact me if you’d like me to bring a copy to you (and save on postage).
